What an incredible year we have had in Mexico. This August past we celebrated our tenth year here in Tijuana working for Jesus. We feel so blessed and honored to get to work for our Lord in this capacity. Who could have imagined this would be our lives. Certainly not us! God has so much more vision for our lives then we do for ourselves. We were a bit like Gideon, just hiding out trying not to get caught by the enemy, but hungry to see the greatness of God, but too afraid to step out. When he called us to be missionaries, I know just how Gideon must have felt, who us Lord, now that is funny, do you see where we are, and that we are the least of the least? Praise God he does not see us as we see ourselves, he looks at us through eyes of love and hope, knowing what he do through us and with us if we but surrender to him completely. Not an easy road but definitely worth it.
We are blessed and truly have had a busy year. We have continued to strive to fulfill the mission God sent us to do. Work with his Pastors, bless his people and reach out to the lost and hurting. We have done this through ministering through weekly Bible studies, prayer, counseling, preaching, and teaching, children’s programs, conferences, retreats, feeding the homeless and hungry, out reaches and evangelism, and by the manner in which we work to live as a testimony of his greatness and love.
This year Kenny graduated from high school and moved to Georgia, and is looking to join the military. Man do we miss him and it is a bit hard to get used to it being just Scott and I. Anna continue to work and go to school in Washington where she lives with my parents.
We had lots of visitors this year for which we are truly blessed and grateful. We love to have you come here and see what we do on a more personal level.
We are grateful to the Lord for all the blessings and trails of the year, and there has been an abundance of both. Each year I think this has been the hardest year yet but, I would not change it for anything because we learn and grow through our struggles and trails. If there is one thing I consistently ask God for it is to grow and mature. We can learn if we choose to, and grow stronger for him and in him, no matter the cost as we know the blessings will far outweigh the price.
We want to say Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to you and your house and may the love of God and his son abide in you and with you always. May he continually fill you with fresh fire and hunger for more of him and may he help you step out for him in new and powerful ways.
